5 Things About Facebook Virtual Assistant

Making life easy and comfortable to all is one of the finest and greatest gifts technology has offered to man. Many years ago, life activities was somehow difficult to man since most activities were done by man power, people and places were difficult to access except under certain conditions.

In our current world, technology has made the globe a village where communication is more effective than before. One way technologies have united the world is the development of social Media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Myspace, to name a few. Focusing on Facebook being the massive social networking site currently, I was speechless after hearing the new development in Facebook’s messenger application: Facebook Virtual Assistant M.

The headline now is: Facebook launched a Virtual Assistant Messenger simply called M.

M is built into its messenger app, and, unlike its competitors, is powered not just by technology, but by real humans. People are currently using this app to organize dinner parties, make orders with instant delivery making life much easier.

Below are the 5 Things You Should Know About Facebook Virtual Assistant M.

1. M has Human Trainers

The M does not work by automatic intelligence. Experienced or trained men known as M trainers will be hired for M to help meet the customers’ needs in a satisfactory manner. As humans understand human language and emotions, this feature gives users the satisfaction of meeting their requests making M exceptional.

2. M Does Not Give Alternative  Search Results

Unlike Google Now which gives you other solutions or results that were not searched for, M only gives results or solutions to the request that was made or question asked for. This is also an important thing to know about M.

3. M Is Only Available To Limited Users

Currently, the few hundred users in the Bay Area of California who have been given access to the app can tap a new button in messenger to send a request directly to M, Users have no idea whether it was a software or human that has helped them with their needs. We are yet to know when this app will reach Facebook users worldwide as it is still crawling in the system.

4. Facebook Looks Forward to Make Transactions Easier For People Making Calls through Cable Companies

Facebook is looking forward to partner with some companies and businesses that will be interested in receiving requests through the M platform. This will generate a lot of income for Facebook as well as solve the needs of the people more conveniently as compared to Google Now and Siri. For instance, making a lot of calls that have to be placed by people to cable companies,” Marcus David, told Wired.

“We are able to identify your intentions for what you want to do,” said David Marcus as M uses its own data to help improve the service instead of pulling data from the Facebook data graph to accomplish assignments.  “More desire and intentions by the people to make purchases or perform transactions with ease at your own convenience via M opens opportunities for us also to increase our revenue with time.” Said David Marcus.

5. M Has One Goal

In an interview on Wired, David said that Facebook’s goal is to make the messenger stand tall among others.

In testing the app, Facebook staffs used M to do a lot of things like making orders of goods and services. It was concluded that M will do a lot of things done normally on daily bases like event organization, product testing and sorting, making orders of goods and services, etc. M was really developed for us for good.
